Hundreds of carvers and artists from throughout the USA and Canada compete in 24 contests for over $11,000 in prize money.

Last year, carvers entered over 550 duck decoys, shorebirds, songbirds, owls, raptors, marsh critters, fish decoys, miniatures, and jigging sticks.

Carving and painting styles range from highly decorative and life-like to simplistic traditional designs. Adults and students of all skill levels are encouraged to compete.

Attendees also can watch world class carvers compete as they paint decoy blanks Sunday morning.
