A favorite ODCCA tradition is the Flat Art Contest. Each year, artists are invited to paint or draw their own interpretation of any migratory waterfowl, goose, or shorebird. The winning design is featured as a logo on the highly collectible ODCCA Show Button, clothing, and publicity materials.

We are proud to showcase top artists in this contest for many decades. The buttons are part of your admission and available only at the show.

Sponsored by Tom Whitlock. The winning artist will receive $300 and a Rosette.

Adults $30 first entry and $10 each additional entry. Students K thru grade 12 free.

Entries will be accepted until Mon., March 1, 2027. Please include a downloadable entry form, a check payable to ODCCA to cover entry fees, and a pre-paid UPS return label with insurance.

1. Anyone can enter. There are two classes – Open and Student.

2. Any fine art media may be used with the exception of photographs, AI or computer-like images.

3. Your entry should not be framed or have glass or matting.

4. Minimum size is 8 x 10 inches. Maximum size is 11 x 14 inches.

5. Hand-carried entries must be presented to the contest chairman before 9:30 a.m. Sat., in Ballroom #2, the Holiday Inn Cleveland South. Students (K through grades 12) must pick up their entries on Sun. at 3 p.m.

6. The winning art work will remain with the Flat Art Committee at the end of the show. It will be returned to the artist after the graphics/logo has been completed. ODCCA reserves the right to use the winning artwork for logo design, future show buttons, clothing items, printed materials, mugs and website.
